flaming lips

Sep. 2nd, 2008 | 01:20 am

Honnestly, I think that the older 'Flaming Lips' stuff is much better than their newer stuff.  What I consider older flaming lips is anything in the era before 'soft bulletin'; which is when their style changed.  I just listen to some of the live collections of their older songs and it's like being in heaven.  Especially clouds taste metallic.

P-Diddy complains about gas prices...

Sep. 1st, 2008 | 03:55 am

Oh no my name's P-Diddy and I can't afford to fly around in my personal JET anymore.  What ever will I do?
Here's the video:

Here's an idea, how about let's not focus on how high the gas prices are and let's focus on renewable sources of energy..."OH NO GAS PRICES ARE SOOOO HIGH THAT I CAN'T DRIVE AROUND MY HUMMER ON 200 INCH RIMS!!!!"  Doesn't anyone know how stupid that sounds?

Bandz

I am really happy that Deerhoof is coming to Orlando on a SATURDAY!  Which means I will be able to see them...Now I just have to wait for Sonic Youth to venture to the south and fulfill all of my dreams.  I have heard that their concerts are really crazy and it seems like they are improvising during most of the show.  I feel that this is a good thing!  It makes each concert unique, and you watch them grow as artists on stage.  Right before you eyes they may be learning to play in a new and different style!  You could be witnessing something that could turn into their next single for the newest album.  Another thing that I have noticed about Sonic Youth,  is that they seem to be keeping their eccentric/experimental stuff to their side project the SYR series instead of their newest albums such as "Rather Ripped" and "Sonic Nurse."  I feel that this may be a bad thing, to separate what some consider their most innovative work to a side album rather than the main enchilada.  I've lost my train of thought.

Scrabble

Aug. 23rd, 2008 | 07:21 am

I wish one of two things would happen in the next few days:

1.  Someone that I know develops an interest in playing face to face Scrabble

2.  Scrabble on Facebook becomes a working application again, so that I can enjoy its wordy goodness.
